Camp Host: Dominique Edison



Dominique is originally from San Augustine, Texas where he lettered in football, basketball, baseball & track. Dominique’s football accolades consist of a High School State Championship, and was named both All-District, and All-State in football. While in high school, Dominique also collected the 200M state title in track. Mr. Edison was named an All-District center fielder in baseball and was the basketball district MVP. 



As a student-athlete, Dominique was recognized for his academics and athletic achievements. He was named to the  Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in the fall of 2006, and returned after his playing days in the NFL to complete his Bachelor in Science in 2014. On the field, Dominique was a stand out athlete for the Jacks. Named Player of the Week on several occasions, Dominique was a member of the Sports Network All-America Team, a two-time member of the All-Southland Conference Team, and was invited to participate in the Texas versus the Nation All-Star Game. Dominique is in the top ten in all wide receiver categories in SFA’s historic football program. In his senior season alone, Dominique had 67 receptions for 1,016 yards on his way to the Southland Conference single season touchdown record of 18 touchdowns.                                  



After leaving the confines of Homer Bryce Stadium, Dominique  was invited to participate in the NFL Combine before being  drafted in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans, making him only the twenty-fifth Lumberjack to be drafted all-time. Dominique was a member of the Titans in his rookie season and continued his playing career for several years with teams in the NFL and CFL. Dominique has continued to make contributions off the field, starting with his days as a Jack. During his time at SFA, Dominique volunteered as a mentor to young children in the Nacogdoches community and has continued to serve the needs of young people and has proven to be a valuable pillar in his community.  Today, Dominique is married to his wife, Jessica, of nine years. Together, they have two children Dominique Jr (8) and Emery (3) In Dominique's free time, he enjoys spending time with family, weight training and coaching.
